We manufacture new and refurbish old gangways.
New Gangways
We manufacture nearly the entire gangway in-house, with the exception of the painting process, which is outsourced. Each gangway is built in compliance with the latest industry requirements and consistently meets the fire safety standard EN 45545 HL1-3. The design, engineering, and assembly are all carried out in our workshop, which is specifically equipped and optimized for the production of this type of component.
Our primary goal is to serve the Scandinavian market for new gangways, where there is a significant need as the lifespan has exceeded the material properties.
Repair and Refurbishment
For decades, we have repaired and reconditioned many different types of train bellows operating in Sweden. This has ranged from simple reconditioning to repairs of crashed trains, where we can also repair aluminum with our certification. Aros IP also offers inspection services for gangway bellows. Through extensive experience, we have developed methods and can now offer repairs using EN 45 545 certified fire-resistant materials.
This extends the lifespan of gangways by several years before a decision needs to be made to replace them with new ones.
Project X50 – X55 Regina
We offer an exchange system where you can submit your old bellows for comprehensive renovation and repair, more extensive than our previous services. We replace old materials with new ones and recycle what can be recycled. We can now offer completely new bellows for Regina trains X50 – X55.
Project X40
Involves major renovation and repair of 75 gangways that have had a lifespan of over 15 years. The decision was made by our client SJ as the gangways were in poor condition and had lost their fire classification. The scope of project X40 includes a full renovation. The first refurbished gangway was successfully delivered and installed on a train on November 22, 2021.
Project Outokumpu Mine
Completed in 2022 with a final spare parts order after delivering 12 large gangways to the mine in Kemi, Finland. These are the largest we have built, measuring 5 meters X 2.2 meters.
